METROLINK / SCRRA PERMIT COORDINATION
Metrolink / SCRRA Right of Entry Permit Coordination
Planning work on or near Metrolink railroad property? The ROE Pro helps contractors, consultants and project teams prepare an organized encroachment or right of entry request and coordinate the administrative review process.
Clear application details. Organized documents. One coordination contact.
Prepare for the Right Metrolink Access Process
The Southern California Regional Rail Authority (SCRRA), which operates Metrolink, sets requirements for work affecting its right-of-way. Access duration, project scope and existing license agreements can affect the application path.
Survey, Inspection and Field Investigation
Coordinate project details and documents for qualifying site visits and investigations.
Utility and Infrastructure Work
Keep the permit request and supporting technical submissions organized for railroad review.
Existing Applications and Corrections
Bring the project number and comments already received so we can assess the remaining coordination work.
Plan Ahead for Review
Metrolink recommends submitting at least three months before work, or at least six months when a new or modified license agreement is needed. These are planning recommendations, not guaranteed approval periods. Requests involving less than 180 days on the right-of-way are directed to its permitting portal; longer-duration requests follow a separate contact process. A request at exactly 180 days should be confirmed with the reviewing team.

What Your Team May Need to Supply
Requirements depend on the project. Your team may need location exhibits, plans, work descriptions, a Site Specific Work Plan, insurance information and applicable agreement forms.
